Perfection, summed up.

The crickets were out of tune tonight. I think one of them must have croaked in the middle of the performance because I noticed suddenly that the left side of the choir had become silent while the rest of them sung on.

But the weather was perfect. So much so that it wouldn’t have mattered if I fell asleep on the reclining plastic chair, even with no blanket.

The sky is dark but I can still see the vibrant blue hue.

The moon looks big enough to touch.

And I know there’s a lot more of the world out there, but in this moment, with Jon on my right and Edyn curled up on my lap, I can’t tell because my entire universe is right here on this porch.
